So who am I?
Here's a little bit about me...
I’m in my early thirties (am I
really? Goodness) and live with my
boyfriend in Sussex. We met a few years
ago online, whilst I was studying for a PhD.
The distance soon became a bit too much and we moved in together just a
few months later. We don’t yet live in a
property suitable for cats, but the minute we do then we will be acquiring two
cats. We’ve already named them.
I’m a volunteer with Girlguiding, which
is a big part of my life. I’m currently
a Rainbow and Brownie leader and I absolutely love it.
I might have a slight obsession with owls.
I love tea and hate coffee. English breakfast tea, nothing floral or
herbal. I have quite the mug collection,
so feel free to come and join me, I’ll make a pot.
Post is one of my favourite things,
both receiving and sending. I volunteer
with the small children’s charity Post Pals:
the idea is to send cheery happy post to children with life-threatening or
life-limiting medical conditions, as well as their siblings. Do come and have a look, I manage their
Twitter account @postpals.
I love to knit and crochet, especially the latter, and have made quite
the collection of blankets. I’m not
going to be cold any time soon!
I’ve been a bibliophile for as long as I can remember – I always have a
towering pile of books to read, my taste ranging from contemporary fiction, to
children’s classics, to non-fiction.
Anything that isn’t sci-fi, really!
So that’s me. All of these things
are guaranteed to regularly turn up on my blog, along with anything else that’s
caught my attention recently. Make a cup
of tea (or coffee, if you must), snuggle up under a blanket (I have spares) and
accompany me on an adventure (or two).
